Wrapped composite sliding bearing steel / bronze - with filled lubrication pockets

Technical details BIV-LUB®

Wrapped composite sliding bearing
Copper-plated steel / bronze
DIN 1494 / ISO 3547
Lubrication pockets filled with solid lubricant

  • High load capacity at low abrasion, excellently suitable for low sliding speed and oscillating movements

  • Support material Steel copper-plated
  • Sliding layer CuPb10Sn10
  • Lubrication pockets filled with solid lubricant

Material properties

  • Specific load capacity static ≤ 200 [N/mm2]
  • Specific load capacity dynamic ≤ 75 [N/mm2]
  • Sliding speed ≤ 2.5 [m/s] depending on lubrication
  • Friction value ** 0,08 [µ] to 0,22 [µ]
  • Temperature strain – 20 [°C] to + 200 [°C]
  • Max. PV-value 2,8 [N/mm² x m/s]

Tolerance details

  • Housing Ø H7
  • Bushing inner-Ø after mounting H9
  • Shaft tolerance f7 bis h8

Shaft material

  • Steel, hardened or untempered, surface roughness ≤ Rz 6.3

Mounting Advise

  • Housing: Mounting bevel min. 1.5 mm x 15-45°
  • Shaft: Mounting bevel 5 mm x 15°, edges rounded
  • The application of an adequate force fitting mandrel is advisable. Grease lubrication of the outer surface may be necessary when mounting
  • In spite of the bearing being maintenance-free, a primary lubrication is necessary.

  • BIV-LUB® is a maintenance-free composite sliding bearing with solid lubricant pockets, but primary lubrication is necessary. Therefore an aging resistant lithium stiffened grease should be used

Range of application

  • Hydraulic cylinders, construction machines, crane construction, automotive industry
