LUB-MET® Bronze sliding bearing: simple and maintenance-free

Are you looking for a maintenance-free bronze sliding bearing? Then the LUB-MET® bronze sliding bearing with solid lubricant deposits on the sliding surface is definitely right for you. The self-lubricating alloy saves you the time-consuming and tiresome maintenance work of conventional sliding bearings. Only one initial lubrication is needed, for which you use age-resistant lithium-soap grease.

The LUB-MET® sliding bearing bushing is manufactured from a bronze carrier material and is maintenance-free due to the use of PTFE and/or graphite mixture lubricants. In addition to savings on maintenance costs and material savings for lubricants, the advantage is also the avoidance of the need for additional lubricating systems. The solid LUB-MET® bronze sliding bearing is not only maintenance-free, but is also resistant to wear and corrosion and is not sensitive to contamination, with a long service life overall. The functional safety of the LUB-MET® is even guaranteed after a prolonged shut-down. They are delivered as standard in CuZn25Al5, but we also offer a range of bronze alloys and meet the individual needs of our customers in manufacture. If required, our bronze sliding bearing is also available with water-resistant lubricant, allowing its use in hydraulic engineering.

Your bronze sliding bearing – maintenance-free yet durable

Although the LUB-MET® bronze sliding bearing is maintenance-free, it is no less reliable than a bearing requiring maintenance. This means that the bronze sliding bearing was specially manufactured for high loads, as well as for impact loads and oscillating movements. The lack of sensitivity to chemical agents and moisture gives it additional stability. The temperature resistance is also extremely high: from -100 to +300°C the sliding bearing operates perfectly. LUB-MET® is, therefore, the first choice for our experts in areas of use in machinery and equipment construction, in construction and agricultural machinery, railway applications and even in shipbuilding and off-shore systems. Shaft material

  • The hardness difference to the bearing should at least be 100HB, preferably hardened and dressed to size, surface roughness < Rz 6.3 (Ra max. 0.8µm)

Mounting advise

  • Housing: Mounting bevel min. 1.5mm x 15-45°
  • Shaft: Mounting bevel 5 mm x 15°, edges rounded
  • The application of an adequate force fitting mandrel is advisable. Grease lubrication of the outer surface may be necessary when mounting.


  • LUB-MET® is a maintenance-free sliding bearing, but primary lubrication is necessary. Therefore a non-aging lithium stiffened grease should be used.
